Building collapses in Damietta, kills 6 and injures 28

A building in the center of Damietta collapsed on Tuesday evening, killing six people and injuring 28 others.
Ambulances rushed to the site and evacuated the area, looking for survivors under the rubble.
The four story building, which contained the headquarters of the Wasat party, fell very abruptly, eyewitnesses said.
Damietta Governor Mohamed Ali Fleifa ordered a fact-finding committee to assess the cause of the collapse.
Thousands of buildings in Egypt are built in violation of safety regulations, and many old buildings are poorly maintained.
